-- How to make your product enter into Hong Kong?

The Electrical Products (Safety) (Amendment) Regulation 2000 comes into operation on 1 December, 2000. The regulation applies to all electrical products that are:

a) designed for household use; and

b) supplied in Hong Kong (including those imported, manufactured locally or intended for use outside Hong Kong)

‘Supply” means (1) to sell or hire out the electrical product; (2) to offer, keep or exhibit the electrical product for sale or for hiring out; (3) to exchange or dispose of the electrical product for any consideration; (4) to transmit, convey or deliver the electrical product in pursuance of (i) a sale, (ii) a hiring out, or (iii) an exchange or disposal for any consideration; or (5) for commercial purpose, to give the electrical product as a prize or to make a gift of such a product.

The regulation requires that all household electrical products shall comply with the ‘essential safety requirements” to protect users from hazards arising from the electrical products and hazards which may be caused by external influences on the electrical products. The product specified in the regulation will obtain the qualification to supply in Hong Kong after tested by GTIHEA.

-- How to make your products enter into Spain?

For those electrical products to be exported to Spain (except plugs and emergency lights), it is acceptable to apply for CE Mark certification in GTIHEA, and obtain the CE conformity declaration through testing on samples submitted to GTIHEA. Valid CCC or CQC certification may provide reference for CE testing and help to reduce the testing charge.

-- Agent service for VDE certification

GTIHEA has established close cooperative relationship with VDE. In the year of 2002, GTIHEA has taken agent for more than 20 manufacturers to obtain VDE Mark License for various product categories such as plugs, cables, capacitors, motors, motor-compressors, switches, miniature fuses, thermal links and so on. GTIHEA personnel are familiar with the procedures and requirements for VDE certification and are well ready to help you to get the VDE Mark License smoothly and efficiently.

-- Full Safety Testing and other testing services for SASO registration

GTIHEA is a SASO approved laboratory and capable of Full Safety Testing and Pre-Shipment Testing, including safety and EMC, for almost all the products of Category II of the regulated product. With the test report issued by GTIHEA, the exporter can apply for registration and then the COC certificate directly and export the product to Saudi Arabia successfully.
